I did wash it in cold water and dried it in a cool drier and was surprised at how much it shrank. It's exceptionally warm in the winter, but by the time it was washed the first time, it's much harder to get it around the face and the neck due to the loss of size. The washing was fine, but I would definitely hang to dry and not try to even do the dryer at all with this product. I washed it in cold water with shampoo so it's smells good. The Navy color did run a little bit but the Navy blue is still really noticeable. I'm not a hipster so I will only wear mine in the desert or fishing. The thickness is perfect breathable material on a hot day. The size is a little smaller than normal but still able to wear it anyway I like. The stitching is great for mine had no holes or frays. Exactly what I was looking for. It was very light and confortable to wear but there was a slight smell to it so I decided to hand wash it with a few drops of laundry detergent. The water ran a puple blue out of it like crazy and shaded the white parts blueish. Im glad I did that before ending up with a blue neck when sweating and wearing it.
