I like the barrel color, the 4 colors are all smooth like I'd expect from Jetstream, and the pencil is fine. Not sure how to refill it yet. Barrel is rubberized at the grip, but not soft. I used to have multiple pens at my desk, but any time I leave the desk, I only bring one. Got this so I could have all 4 options away from the desk. Not that cheap, but worth it for my use case. So the bottom to about 3 times heavier then the top of the pen. **Q: How do you refill the lead? I tried the way they said in one of the reviews and it didn't work. If pull off the end of the pen, please say which** A: I just checked my pen and here's how you add pencil lead: Unscrew and remove the front of the pen (the grip section). Look closely at the pencil part's metal sleeve and you'll see that about 1/2″ down from the pen body, there's a spot where the lower part of the metal pencil sleeve slides over the upper part. Pull the bottom part of the metal pencil sleeve off. Add lead to the upper part of the metal sleeve, then replace the lower part by slipping it back into place. Hope this helps!! **Q: Can I use gel ink refills instead of the regular ink refills? And how fine is the tip? Can that be changed by utilizing different size refills?** A: The tip is .7mm. Unit makes this pen with all types of different tip sizes, but I don't know about gel refills. The refills for the Signo multi may work, but I have not had a chance to try them yet. I don't want to waste 6 bucks on the experiment. Jet Pens carries a much larger line up of pens. This one comes with a slighter thicker pen which is perfect for my work. I'm particular about my notes and having the option of different inks and knowing the pen is quality is amazing. At first the larger barrel was a bit awkward but you get used to it and it feels like second nature to use. Definitely a good price for the function and quality of ink and lead.
