Designed for professionals and students alike, it offers long-lasting oil-based ink and a comfortable wide barrel for effortless writing. Sold in a convenient 3-pack, it’s the ultimate multitasking tool for color-coded organization and efficient note-taking. ## Description When the school supply list calls for pens, the BIC 4-Color Original Retractable Ballpoint Pen does the work of four. Black and blue for everyday notes and assignments, red to flag key points or corrections, and green to mark questions or organize by category, all in a single retractable pen that fits in a pencil case without adding bulk. Students use the 4-Color pen to color-code class notes by subject, annotate reading assignments, and keep their work organized from the first day of school through finals. Teachers reach for it to grade papers, write comments, and mark handouts in multiple colors without switching pens mid-stack. The 1.0 mm medium point writes smoothly and reliably on lined paper, notebooks, and forms. A retractable design with a comfortable wide barrel means the pen is always ready in a pocket or pencil case. Long-lasting ink in all four colors carries students and teachers through the school year without running dry. A 3-count pack gives students a backup and lets teachers keep one in the classroom and one at their desk. Review: Classic and versatile pen for Artists on the Go - A classic pen that has sold itself since the 70’s. This pen is great for Artists who are learning perspective. Some tips as a frequent user. 1st tip: Take the pen apart and use the 4 internal ink chambers in a light, circular manner, you can warm up the 4 pen tips and get a solid line of color the first mark. As you use the pen, the ink will warm up and you might get more ink than desired. 2nd tip: There isn’t as grip on the pen. With a smooth barrel, it’s difficult to maintain a grip. To solve this, I used masking tape and wrapped it around the barrel of the pen to create a light textured grip. Review: Good quality colored pen - Writes excellent color very smooth. It’s excellent quality of plastic and ball point is very well made. Switching from color to color is very quick and easy just pushing down the tab of color you would like to write with. ## Features - WHAT'S INCLUDED: Pack of three (3) BIC 4-Color Original Retractable Ballpoint Pens - VERSATILE WRITING: Features a 1.0 mm medium point perfect for various writing tasks at work, school, or home - LONG-LASTING INK: Enjoy the benefit of long-lasting ink suitable for crafts, school, or office supplies - MULTICOLOR CONVENIENCE: Each pen includes black, blue, red, and green ink for versatile writing and organization - EASY ACCESS: Retractable design with a comfortable wide barrel and plastic clip for quick access on the go ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002JFR8Q8 | | Additional Features | Refillable, Retractable | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #303 in Office Products ( See Top 100 in Office Products ) #9 in Ballpoint Pens | | Body Shape | Round | | Brand | BIC | | Brand Name | BIC | | Closure Type | Retractable | | Color | Original - Black, Blue, Green, Red Ink | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 26,602 Reviews | | Drill Point | Medium | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00070330145405 | | Grip Type | Contoured | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Hardness | 2B | | Included Components | … | | Ink Base | Oil | | Ink Color | Multicolor | | Item Diameter | 1 millimeters | | Item Dimensions | 5.75 x 0.25 x 0.25 inches | | Item Type Name | Ballpoint Pen | | Item Weight | 1.44 ounces | | Line Size | 1.0-1.9mm millimeters | | Manufacturer | BIC Corporation | | Material | Tungsten Carbide | | Material Type | Tungsten Carbide | | Model Name | bic | | Model Number | MMP31 AST | | Pattern | Ballpoint Pen | | Recommended Uses For Product | Writing | | Style | Blue Barrels | | Theme | multicolor | | UPC | 636123719255 070330145405 300715228530 300715226505 | | Unit Count | 3 Count | | Warranty Description | 100% | | Writing Instrument Form | Multifunction Writing Instruments | | Writing Technique | Ballpoint | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** BIC - **Color:** Original - Black, Blue, Green, Red Ink - **Ink Color:** Multicolor - **Writing Instrument Form:** Multifunction Writing Instruments ## Images ![4-Color Original Retractable Ballpoint Pen, 1.0 mm Medium, 3-Count Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71+MrZh3AZL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Last time I bought these the red ink had been downgraded to a lighter poor-flowing shade. Are they back to the original red?** A: I had the same problem with the red ink running out the fastest on the multicolor pen. I finally bought a 12 pack of red BIC pens on Amazon for $1.79. (That's the total for ALL 12 pens.) I used the first one 5 days a week at work, several times a day, and it lasted me almost a year. I still have most of the rest. This is the product: BIC Round Stic Xtra Life Ball Pen, Medium Point (1.0 mm), Red, 12-Count.http://www.amazon.com/BIC-Round-Medium-Point-12-Count/dp/B00006IE7J?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpageI do still like the multicolor pens, and use them for other purposes. **Q: The red has changed- less ink and lighter** A: The ink has changed color over the years, but I have used these since about 1971. I hadn't noticed any particular change in the amount of ink of any particular color. It could just be a bad batch of red ink. **Q: How do you refill the lead** A: TO refill the lead you simply twist the barrel to open it. Remove the metal piece on the lead tube. Insert no more than 2 leads and reassemble. I hope this is helpful. The BIC Team - The Official BIC Store **Q: Can you refill this pen with basic fine point cartridges or do you have to use Medium cartridges like it originally comes with?** A: The BIC 4-Color fine or medium refill will fit in the pen. I hope this helps.
