Also, can it flower a 3.5x3.5 tent?** A: Hello! The XML2 lights contain the exact same 12-band spectral output and arrays of all of our other lights, just with the addition of 2x CREE 10w XML2 white LEDs in the middle of each cluster just as an extra boost of light. White light is inefficient by nature so we will never rely on it for our spectral output, but it can work to boost the light output while only using a small area on the panel. The P4XML2 is designed to flower a 3x3 area. Adding an extra .25' to all sides of the panel shouldn't be too much of a problem.. but just know that it was indeed designed for a 3x3. **Q: Which is better this led or the mars 1200?** A: i know nothing about the mars 1200 but i can say that this light is excellent. excellent canopy penetration unlike any other type of light i have used. and the company has very good customer service. **Q: What is the light spectrum that comes off the cree led's? you never did address that in prior question. would it be closer to 6500k or 2700k range** A: The specific color temperature of the XM-L2 chips is 4k. **Q: Would this be to much for a 2x2 area?** A: Hello! This would not be too much as long as you had the space to raise the light in case your strain proved too sensitive to excess light. We would recommend keeping at least 18"-24" from the light to the canopy at all times for safety. WITH THESE LITTLE P150s I HAVE COMPLETED 4, ( let me say that again 4 ) COMPLETE GROWS FROM JUNE 2015 TO FEB. 2016. ( 8 months). THATS CRAZY. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS I COULD ONLY GROW 2 PLANTS PER P150. LIKE I STATED BEFORE I WANTED TO EXPAND MY OPERATION SO I PURCHASED 2 OF THESE P4-XLM2. I HAD A HARD TIME SPENDING THIS MUCH MONEY ON 2 LIGHTS ( these lights are way over priced but had no other led to compare them too ). BUT WITH THE RESULTS I HAVE GOTTEN FROM THE P150s I SAID WHAT THE HECK. SHIPPING WAS RIGHT ON TIME. EXCEPT BOTH LIGHTS WERE SHIPPED FROM 2 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. PKG. WAS GREAT, NO PROBLEMS. NOW I CAN SEE HOW THESE P4s DO AGAIST MY NEW LED ( which has 3 times more watts for half the price of the p4s but it has only a 10 spectrum and has only 1 on/off switch. I love the dual and trip. on the p150s and p4s. save money and that's what it's all about ). NOW 6 WEEKS LATER. ALL LEDs ARE PERFORMING EXCELENT. ALL THE ITEMS UNDER THE DIFFERENT LEDs ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. ALL THE NODES ARE THE SAME, SURE A FEW MAY BE A LITTLE TALLER BUT OTHER THAN THAT THE SAME. Of course, with hydroponics there are so many variables affecting production it could be pre-mature to blame the light. After initial break in period one of the four fans stopped working and another one of the fans has become so loud you can forget about 'stealth'. Very disappointed as I expected better quality for the money.
