3M Protecta comfort construction-style positioning harness with an easy-link web adapter, a fixed D-ring to minimize workday readjustment and breathable back/hip padding. Plus, a durable and sturdy belt, tongue-buckle leg connection, pass-through chest connection and back and side D-rings. Specially designed for added comfort, these harnesses are rated for 420 lbs (190 kg) total working weight. Review: Comfortable, seems good for the price. - I did a lot of homework on this harness before selecting it. The last harness I had was a top notch harness supplied by my employer at the time. Though I was reimbursed for this one, and thus it too was supplied by my employer, the choice to find the best harness to suit my needs was on me this time. It is quite comfortable when it is adjusted properly and seems to help pull moisture away as you sweat in all the contact areas. The padding does seem to contribute to excessive sweating, so hydrate more. The hardware and features of the harness seem heavy duty and well constructed. It does have some weight to it compared to the minimum mandatory junk companies provide to visitors and contractors who don’t have their own harnesses. I have a separate suitcase only for PPE that I carry mine in. For what you get compared to what it costs, I feel like this harness is pretty nice. I do not remember seeing any evidence of service life expiration though. If I remember correctly my last harness was good for 3 years barring wear and tear, misuse and abuse, or being involved in a fall arrest scenario. There should be an expiration tag on this thing somewhere near the chest area, which is normally part of the pre-use inspection. It would sure go a long way in helping to explain why I have to buy a new one down the road when I do my expense report.

I've spent a lot of time on my roof cleaning gutters and doing Christmas lights, sitting and standing a bit. The harness never got loose and none of the buckles came undone or came close to it, always felt safe. Weight is good. It's not too heavy, but doesn't feel cheap, but I will say I'm happy to take this off after a while. Easy to setup and use.
