**Q: Can you use this to cook over a fire?**
A: I bought 2 of these pans and build a metal, open top, stove box they set in suspended by the lip. I have boiled 300 to 400 gallons of raw maple sap down to about 20 gallons that we further refined in the kitchen. No problem with being exposed to an open flame or boiling while partly empty. I would not expose them to flame without an inch or so of liquid in them. ARV

A: 15 gauge is heavier than 18 guage.18 guage is 50 thousands and 15 guage is 70 thousands.15 guage is 1.7859mm 18 guage is 1.27mm

A: At the top the inside measurements are 19.5 x 11.5 inches and it is 5.5 inches deep.  Near the bottom the inside measurements would be about 0.5 inches less.
