**Q: For the aluminum pewter bronze rain chain - what process is used to color the aluminum?  is it painted; powder coated; ??? (seller please reply.)**
A: The item is powder coated

**Q: Can you just hang from gutter?  I don’t want to disturb my downspout.  Would it be a nice addition to hang from gutter and have the rain flow through**
A: Not knowing what your gutter looks like, it's difficult to answer. If you leave your downspout, how will water get to the chain? I do not have a downspout. Some people have them lead to a rain barrel, mine goes into a pot filled with rocks that then flows downhill.

**Q: Does any rain chain adapter fit with any rain chain?**
A: It fit right into the spout opening fine.

**Q: What is the thickness of the rings and cup?**
A: They are at our cabin in Idaho and I'm in Florida so I can't say exactly.  I know they work perfectly and have survived a winter of ice and snow.  I have 2 different rain chains at my home in Florida that are the same heft and about an inch in diameter of a different style (I think the cups in Idaho are more than an inch) and they also work perfectly.
