Unbelievable.The first thing any manufacturer of any cloth diaper will tell you is that you have to wash it first or they won't be absorbent. Apparently there is "sizing" still on the fabric, and that acts as a water-resistant barrier till it's washed off. Let me be clear that I have NOT yet washed these, and today I didn't ask much of them. I don't feel like I can really say much about their absorbency, but that won't stop me. ;-)First is the fit, which is tight. These run small, so be aware. I know they need to be snug in order to not have gaps wetness can get through, but these are really tight.That aside, they fit well, coming up high enough in front and back. Also, the material in front--what your "tender bits" rub against all day, is very, very soft. The pad, just as advertized, goes up all the way in front and back, and--hazzah!--is full-width in front. Conni says there is an opening, and there is, but I have no idea how it could be a functional fly. I'm guessing it's there for those using a catheter or something. Honestly, I can't imagine being able to twist and wind your dude through that. But the point is that, unlike nearly every other brief I've tried, the "fly" in no way compromises or reduces the size of the pad.I don't expect these to be very capacious, and press-out might be a serious issue when sitting, but these aren't a replacement for disposable absorbent underwear or diapers. If you need discreet protection that fits well and holds a few bursts, get the Depend Real Fit (it pains me to say that Depend has finally done something right, but they did). But if you have some dribbling and need something that will keep your fly dry, after a few washings I'm willing to bet these will be great. Would I recommend this product yes I would.Even my wife thinks they look good. Have tried different ones but did not like.
