A couple of times ok but not permantely. Over time the loose coffee will get everywhere in the machine and the brew unit will get dirty pretty quick as not all coffee lands where it should. **Q: does this make regular coffee** A: Yes it does. From cuppaccino to expressing and regular coffee. If you get the right coffee beans that suit your taste buds you are in for a treat every time.
