They provide the protection that my coasters need but they don't add a ton of "bulk" to the shipping because I need to keep my products in small priority mail boxes. And the price is less expensive than what I was purchasing before. Corelle plates are very thin and neatly stack, so these 1/16" thick foam sheets don't impede the packing process at all and afford just the protection needed when shipping. I tightly wrap anywhere from 4-8 plates with bubble wrap one way, then flip and wrap the opposite way (in a + shape, basically) to keep plates from possibly sliding out, so the less bulk the better but still affording protection is the name of the game...and I'm winning! 1/4" work well also, but are much more expensive in comparison.
