Everything about this beginner product is amazing
*This is coming from a beginner Glass Dip Pen user. When I opened the door I saw that the product was on the floor with no protection. It was just the box wrapped in plastic. I was concerned since everything inside is so fragile. Turns out I had no reason to be concerned cause there wasn't a single crack on anything inside. The only issue I encountered was with the tear drop shaped pen. The plastic tube that covered the tip was very difficult to pull off. Other than that one drawback everything was as it should be. I like all the colors and that I can easily switch colors in one sitting. Now I'd like to address the issue of mess. Some of the reviews complained about it being very messy when you pull off the plastic seal that's inside the ink bottles. They said it in a way that made me think it was going to be a super messy activity. In my experience with this dip pen it isn’t all that messy. I also write with a fountain pen and I get ink on my fingers when I refill it and even sometimes while I write. Bottom line is when you're working with ink expect inky fingers. Many people in the community even see it is as badge of honor to have inky fingers because when you see someone else with ink on their fingers you understand you're on the same journey(I know cheesy). So if you don't like having ink on your fingers perhaps glass dip pens, fountain pens, calligraphy pens etc. aren't for you because it's inevitable and it does not reflect badly on the product. It's honestly not even that much ink on your fingers anyways. I only have it on my left thumb and index finger(which I used to remove the seal) and on my right middle finger(not sure how that got there lmaoo).

Gorgeous Pen for Writing & Painting
I’m really happy I bought this set, OmI even sent one to a friend. It’s a great deal for the price. I’ve never worked with a glass pen before, but I absolutely love it.They feel wonderful in hand and are so beautiful, magical! There’s tons of colors, although the colors aren’t written in English on the bottle, and it’s sort of difficult to figure out exactly what each color is from the small swatch on the bottle, like red and violet look exactly the same on the outside, and a couple more. Not a big deal, you just have to test before using.I’ve used it to apply thin coats of adhesive for thin and accent foil work and it works great, and I’ve begun my first glass pen painting. It’s not finished yet, I started with the purple, then cyan and then violet.Just for fancy writing, or doing artwork-this is definitely a must have.

Great mini set for beginners, but be careful when opening the ink bottles.
This is the first time I have ever touched a glass pen, and this is my first glass pen ink set, so this review will be from an inexperienced person’s point of view:Pros- good variety of different colored inks. The colors themselves were very nice and vibrant.- two different kinds of glass pens, which helped me to get a general idea of what kind of glass pen will fit my writing/drawing style.- this set includes everything I need to dip my foot into the world of glass pens and explore a new medium.Cons- the ink bottles leak a lot both when the rubber stoppers are removed, and when unscrewing the metal caps after the bottle has been laid horizontally. The ink gets everywhere, which then leaves light stains on hard surfaces, and slightly darker stains on skin. (They’re fading pretty quickly though, and with a bit of water and elbow grease, the stains on my desk and bathroom tiles came out pretty easily.)- quite a bit of ink is wasted due to the leakage problem, which is a shame because the colors are nice. (I also don’t like wasting writing supplies)- one of the ink jars leaked despite me screwing the cap on pretty tightly (I screwed it until it wouldn’t move anymore.) Luckily, I was able to catch it early on since I was going through all the jars and the leak was small, so I didn’t lose a lot of ink. That one cap may have been a defect, because all the other jars had no problems when laid on their sides. However, it may be a good idea to keep the jars upright when storing them.- the glass water cup included in the kit is very small, but understandable for the price of the kit. It’s a simple matter to switch it out with a bigger rinse cup.My advice:- make sure to wear gloves when removing the rubber stoppers from the ink jars, and make sure to do it in the bathroom or over a sink, with paper towels on hand to clean up the inevitable messes. The ink stains on my hands aren’t permanent, and are fading pretty quickly, but if you’re a person who prefers/needs to keep their hands clean, it may be a good idea to have rubber gloves on when opening the ink jars.- once the ink jars are opened and the rubber stoppers are removed, keep the jars UPRIGHT / VERTICAL. Even though the packaging is made to store the jars horizontally, I found that after placing the jars back into their established places, the ink pools in the metal caps. It pools in a way that when unscrewing the caps, the ink comes spilling out from the sides. Even after letting the jar sit upright and tapping the top of the cap to try to get the ink back into the jar, a small amount always spills out. So if you make the same mistake I did, make sure you have paper towels close by, or open the ink jar over a surface that you don’t mind getting dirty/potentially stained.(For anyone wondering: After removing the rubber stoppers in the jars, I tossed them out instead of reusing them because I figured they would only waste more ink. Whenever I tried to remove them, they would scoop out a lot of ink along with it so I didn’t think it was worth keeping them. Then I found out about the leaking metal caps… I haven’t had any more problems with leaks after I started storing the jars upright though.)Overall, outside the minor problems with the ink jars, I found this set pretty nice for its price. The inks were more vibrant and prettier than I expected them to be, and knowing how expensive inks and writing supplies in general can be, this set is pretty good quality for its price. As long as you’re careful with the pens and take precautions with the ink jars, it’s worth it to buy this set if you want to test out a new art/writing medium. It’s a good set for a trial test run before deciding to commit to buying more expensive, better quality materials.

Excellent buy!
My delivery was on time and the product was better than described. Pictures cannot do this justice. The inks are quality and the pens are beautiful. I plan to keep buying this pack to develop a arsenal of pens and quality inks. These pens make very precise marks and are great for sketching.

Just as pictured
Rather self explanatory; came with 2 pens and several inks. It is a bit tricky to get the hang of it it but it's easy enough. The ink bleeds thru thinner papers but that's to be expected with a thin ink. Also takes a bit to dry. Honestly, I'm happy with this. Exactly what I envisioned.
