Works Great with the Liberty Gate from Dreambaby!
I have been looking for a gate for quite some time now as my 18 month year old loves going up and down the stairs. My stairs are oddly build so most of the gates I bought did not fit.. After quite some time I finally found the Liberty Gate from Dreambaby and then I saw that I can purchase these adapters. I am so happy that I did. The Liberty Gate installation took about 5 minutes and this adapter just replaces you get with that gate (I only needed to use one of them). It fits perfectly in the gate and is pretty sturdy. I would definitely recommend!I attached a few photos of what it looks like so you can tell if the gate/adapter combo could work for you.

These were great for helping me make a nearly impossible baby gate ...
These were great for helping me make a nearly impossible baby gate stair case; baby proofed! They worked great on the corner of the wall, for allowing for a corner to corner pressure mounted baby gate. We used them with the Dreambaby Chelsea Hallway Auto Close Security gate with no compatibility issues. After hours of online research for corner to corner gates; stair gates ect. I came up with this option; which was perfect. I originally thought I would need these for all 4 corners of the gate; but with the base board in the way; I ended up using the wall mount. Note that it was difficult to get the pressure mounted part of the bottom to line up with the base board; but with the help of my husband we aligned it and got were able to tighten it just right. See photos for illustration.

Just what you need for round balusters
Works great with the DreamBaby compression-mount baby gate if one side must bear against a round (or diagonal) baluster. Ours have a flat surface at the bottom, and a round, tapered profile at the top. I use the flat, rubber-based mount at the bottom and the Y-shaped adapter at the top. A more general comment on the DreamBaby gate -- be prepared to really torque those fittings tightly to get a firm mount and to make sure the gate latch opening squeezes together to fit properly. I can do this, but my wife's hand strength isn't sufficient for her to do it. I've considered using a bar clamp to compress the the gate for easier installation. I may try this if we decide to remove the gate very frequently (we use it when the toddler grandchildren are visiting).

Good, not great
We have a very wonky baniser that is open on both sides and curves, but were desperate for something to keep our daughter off of the stairs so I purchased these along with 2 Dreambaby gates. These work better at the top of our stairs where they're against the thick part of the solid wood banister posts. They don't work great at the bottom where they had to be used on the spindles because the spindles flex when tension is put on them. Essentially the gate doesn't close or lock correctly until it's tightened to capacity, so if you keep tightening the gate with these adapters against spindles, the spindles bend and the gate won't close. We have it to the point where the bottom closes but the top notch doesn't completely lock into place unless we squeeze it, so we still have to be extra diligent. We also used clear zip ties to secure these to the gate and around the spindles for extra security.

Fits a weird awkward space
I installed this product on the recommended liberty gate on a metal Indoor baulster and a wall. We tried several baby gates including mesh and others that claim to work. This is the only one so far that has fit into the awkward space. Also I suspended it about 2 inches to sit above the crown moulding.I ordered two packs. So far so good. I leaned my 165 lbs on it so so if it will fall and so far it hasn't. I gave it 4 stars because the piece sticks out on one side, I hope it doesn't cause any accidents. (NO we couldn't put it under the window because the baby gate is too tall and the stairs become slainted)Will update in a month.

Definitely recommend for those who plan to incorporate childproof gates into their stairs! (and we have twins)
PERFECT little extensions to secure your baby gate to the stairs without damaging anything. Padded ends snugly secure to spindles. We went a step further with a few extra zip ties and have since enjoyed a 100 percent stable gate that's contained twin toddlers for over a year without fail. Our son is a strong kid who dismantle everything and our daughter is the family escape artist always finding her way around obstacles, until now. By the way, we have several of these throughout out house. So far so good. Definitely recommend for those who plan to incorporate childproof gates into their stairs!

Sturdy, looks good, price was meh
Not the cheapest gate to keep kids where they belong (out of the hospital), but it does look great. We were going to put this at the bottom of the steps but put it at the top instead (note: make sure you measure before you buy a gate so it fits). Opens and shuts very smoothly, latch is a tad bit of a pain but it is smooth and will be harder to open than some other gates for children. Overall good product.

No good
Unfortunately, this was a case where 5 star ratings led me to believe this was a good product. We tried this on different sized banisters and its simply not something that can handle a bit of force. It was a real pain to even tighten these down enough (big muscles required) and shortly after it ended up falling down when we went to shut it. I'm convinced that if our infant was holding onto the gate, just her weight alone would cause it to fall down. Keep in mind, we needed to use this on a stairwell with 2 banisters. If there was only one banister involved it might be a better fit but I'm not so sure. Long story short, we ended buying some wood and hardware to build a more secure location for our Dreambaby gate to attach into w/out any adapter.
