The ends of the main support are on springs, so you can compress them inward a bit to get them to fit into the brackets. Perfect fit. Then I looked on the lift gate and saw the clip points that receive the semi-circular loops on the cover. They clipped in easily. So even without directions, with no idea how to install it or where it went, it literally took less than a minute to put in place. It covers the cargo area well, and after a month it is still working perfectly. Review: FITS LIKE A GLOVE - I purchased this for my 2021 Mazda CX-5 Touring. It was a perfect fit. The cover retracts automatically when I open my trunk and hides all my goodies as soon as I close it.
