I have about a dozen. There's little info on the paper, what it's made from, or where it's made. It's got a slightly yellowish tone to it, but not overwhelming at all. It has a light tooth making it terrific for a variety of drawing and painting tools. It's probably about 60-70 lbs (heavier than copy paper but lighter than card stock). I use it exclusively for pen & ink, watercolor, and colored pencil. Great for sketching, but I've scanned plenty of finished pieces from these books, as well. I don't use the pocket in the back, but I love the fabric cover, the elastic band, and fabric bookmark. Overall, these are my go to books over Stillman & Birn, Field Artist, Canson, or any others. For me, they're exactly what I like. Good luck! **Q: It says 128 sheets.
