Timberland watch out these guys have a better product at half the price

Day 1 after 12 hours walking on concrete feet felt great at the end of the day, so no break in period required. I've always been a timberland fan until they wouldn't stand behind a pair of shoes that the toes starting ripping out after 2 weeks of normal use. So i thought I'd take a chance on these and they are more comfortable on day 1 than any timberland that I've had and if they last 3 weeks they beat timberland in quality. I will update after i put them through the concrete torture test far a while but so far I am very satisfied with them. They ran a little bit narrow for me but after wearing them for a day and an adjustment to shoelaces they feel perfect. Would recommendUpdate: worked 60 hours this week in these shoes walking about 6 miles a day on concrete and I have to say these are very comfortable never once did my feet hurt. Very impressed, you can feel air getting to your feet while your walking, insoles are spot on, light weight, I've paid 3 times as much for shoes that were junk. Compared to these. Just wish they weren't called walkCHIC, why couldn't they call them walkdude? Oh well can't have it all. Buy them you won't be disappointed. FYI I have an average Arch and usually were a 10.5 wide but I bought size 11 because I didn't see a wide and it fits like a glove.

    Comfort

The only reason I am not giving this product (shoes) five stars is a reserve for durability; only time will tell. Buying shoes online without trying them on in a store is risky, but I know my size and Amazon has always been good about returning the product if unsatisfactory. To the product itself, I could not be more pleased with the comfort of these shoes. I have bought steel-toed shoes before that killed my feet. I walk a minimum of 5 miles in my job moving around. As per some other reviewers, I wish the name could be different, but I can handle the name because of the comfort these shoes give me while working. There are not enough adjectives for me to give. The only unknown is the longevity of the product. If these shoes can hold up with a reasonable amount of wear I can see myself buying these shoes again. The most comfortable work shoe I have ever owned and I have dropped boxes on my feet and the steel toe holds up. Great product. If you are on your feet a lot in your job and you are required to have safe shoes, this product is for you.

Durable. Not as good as the hype but still kinda good.

The "non-slip" feature just isn't working for me at all. But I do notice that the tread is three times as deep as on any shoes I ever had before, so it's probably not bad on a rough surface where there's some for the tread to bite in to. Where I work the floor is smooth stone tiles that often get covered with oil, water, and highly corrosive cleansers. The oil ends up soaking into the stone do even when it's dry it's still a bit slippery. These shoes are about as "non-slip" for me as any other regular sport shoe would be. Neither especially good not especially bad, just okay.On the other hand, over a month of regular exposure to highly corrosive cleansers has caused no damage that I can tell. This is unusual - most shoes show a lot of wear, discoloration, and even holes pretty quickly where I work. So for that feature alone they were probably worth buying. The sizing issue is a problem too. I have two different sized feet so it's specially problematic for me. I got size 13 because that's the largest they offered. Since my right foot is size 13 (width 'D') I should have gone to 13&½ but they didn't have it. So, wearing the size my foot is supposed to be makes the toe cap feel uncomfortably tight. It's tight enough to be a bit tiring but doesn't cause enough pain to make me limp or do any noticeable damage even after a month of daily wear. The other foot, size 11&½ wearing a size 13 (with a shoe insert to pad it up a bit) feels fine. Fits comfortably. Can't comment on the arch support since I changed the insole but otherwise it seems okay. So even though the shoe on that foot is a size and a half larger it still feels okay, doesn't fall off or anything, so there's no need to be apprehensive about going for a bigger size.Just one additional issue...The laces. For some strange reason, just the way they are made or something, when you pull on the laces to tighten them up, they don't want to pull tight all the way through. There's nothing wrong with the laces themselves, and I've tried relacing it with several different patterns, but I always end up having to tighten up every individual hole one at a time instead of just tying it tight and go. So it just takes a little longer to put them on every day. Not a big deal, but still sort of annoying. Once you got 'em on though they're fine. Except maybe that the top hole is a little too close to the top of the shoe so when it's tied the string can slip over the top of the shoe and cut into the ankle a bit. Wear thick socks, it's not a big deal.On the whole, by the time these wear out if they've started offering a size 13&1/2 I'll probably get them again.
