Works and has nice connectors but I saw a nicer one at Lowes for the same price and twice as long
+ This hose has a large diameter coupler which makes tightening very easy, great idea!+ The relieved ends should help make the hose last longer, all my old hoses failed at the ends because they didn't have this.- I was in Lowes today and saw a heavier duty hose that was 100ft and the same price! Ouch. Had to do over, I would have got the one at Lowes.-The hose material doesn't seem like anything special, It's a lot less thick and a lot more bendy than my other hoses. Not really impressed and I would never call this "heavy duty"... just the ends are heavy duty, not the hose material.Overall, it works and I've got it, so I'm sticking with it. This might be one of those type of items better bought at a physical store.

I'm generally pretty happy with this hose
I'm generally pretty happy with this hose. It almost never kinks, and when it does, I can always work out the kink by giving a good pull on the hose. The reason for my 3 star review is that after less than two years of regular use, the connector on the end of the hose has failed, and now it's a leaky mess. This only happened recently when I elected to change out the spray head on the hose. The previous one had been on for nearly two years. In the process of unscrewing the old one, it seems that the connector was compromised. Is there a lifetime warranty? I guess. Do I want to deal with the hassle? Definitely not.

Great hose, but has a packaging issue.
The hose itself is great, very good quality, and it uncoiled easily after I filled it with water outside in the yard. The connection to the faucet is sturdy, easy to grasp, and does not leak. The only problem that I had was that the nylon strapping that secured the hose in the package was so tight that it cut a slit in the hose, so it has a big leak. I'm just going to repair it with a hose mender- too much trouble going thru customer service for a replacement. Just a note to the manufacturer that they need to do some quality control on the packaging procedure.

Not that impressed for the price
On a 65 degree day, this hose kinked right away. After all of the 5 star reviews, I really was expecting better. I ordered the 50 foot hose for my back yard, and ended up moving it to the front yard as it is not long enough. It is heavy, and with arthritic hands, I need to let it lay in the sun before I can coil it up. I have a 75 foot hose that extends as it inflates from Gardner's Supply that is so light I can lift it with a few fingers. If that gives out, I would rather spend the money on replacing it than buying another heavy and kinking Scott's hose.

Not exactly kink free
Although the description stated this hose will not kink, that hasn’t been the case for me. It seemed that it kinked more often when I first started using it but has improved over time. I haven’t had any other issues with it. One thing I found odd in the directions was to store the hose indoors. I use it everyday during the summer to water planters and can’t see lugging it in and out of the house! I left it outside and it doesn’t appear to have affected it adversely.

Super hose has it all.
When it comes to hoses, there are really only 2 things that count: the hose material and the end connectors. The hose material on the Scotts SMF58050C seems heavy duty enough to provide long life. It's quite flexible and not at all prone to kinking. I have no idea whether it will stand up over time, but I'll update this review when I have more experience with it.What really sets this hose apart from many others are the end connectors. They are solid, machined brass. The female end is really great because it's a full 1 5/8" in diameter with a sculpted gripping surface that lets you get a super firm grip when you're tightening it. There's also a very effective strain relief on the female end. The male end has a hex portion which lets you put a wrench on it if needed.

Not great, not terrible.
Even with the extra threading, this leaks quite a bit at the junction with my other, awesome hose. I'll be applying plumber's tape to try to limit that. Also it's not very flexible. I mean, maybe it is relative to a really crappy hose, but not relative to my previously mentioned awesome hose from Costco, which I will now be attempting to purchase a duplicate of come spring. In hand with the stiffness, it seems quite sturdy and resistant to kinks, so at least it probably won't die before I can replace it with something better.

Good enough for the price.
I like the durability of this hose, but, if you buy it because it says it’s kink resistant, don’t buy it. Buy for durability. It is stiff and it kinks, though the kinks straighten out easily. And remember, you’re not paying a lot for this hose.

Happy with this choice
As per other reviews I am happy with the fact the hose is light and easily pulled around the yard, but feels strong enough for my needs of watering the gardens.
