It took her a little bit to get used to it, but once she got the hang of it she really enjoyed the extra freedom to explore at the park, and it saved my arm from being pulled everywhere that she wants to smell. It is sturdy and it has held up very well. This one is really great; it gives him a lot of room to run around when we're outside, is easy to hold onto, and is strong enough for when he gets too excited and runs to the end of the line. The only downside is that it does get very stinky and gross from when it gets in the dirt and mud around him. I throw it in the wash, but the smell does stick in there, especially in the spots where it is knotted up.
