I have the Nikon version for my old D70s which unfortunatelly can't be used on the higher end Nikons as they screw onto the prism rather than slip over. This one is at least as nice as the Nikon...one nice point is the focus point doesn't change as you go from 1x to 2x unlike the Nikon. This one is used on my Nikon D800. Note that to install it you have to unlock the existing port by moving the lever to the left of the view port. This is something my older film Nikon F4s didn't have. It is a nice feature to prevent loss of that cover....but I can see someone scratching their head as they try to figure out how to unscrew the cover ;-) This right angle finder doesn't lock in so not an issue.I was expecting a longer delivery time as it was coming direct from China but it got here very quickly. There was a nice note from the shipper apologizing for any extra time in shipping....but not necessary. It only took a couple more days than domestic shipped products. And the price was significantly cheaper than US dealers....and about 25% of the cost of the Nikon original.About the only semi negative was the instruction manual. You won't need one it is very obvious....but the Chinese/English interpretation was poor....sort of like the old days of the first Japanese imports ;-) ### ⭐⭐ Screw thread is too short. *by T***G on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 29, 2014* I ordered this product because it is significantly cheaper than Nikon’s. The product arrived to me very promptly. It had an instruction sheet that was written in Chinese (probably) and English. The English version was written poorly and is not understandable. However, that was not important because the product is simple enough to use without instructions. It seemed to work the way it should but I returned it the next day for the reason explained below. I was going to use it for my Nikon D800E camera.To use this item, the eyepiece of the camera has to be removed by unscrewing from the viewfinder and this item has to be screwed in in its place. The original eyepiece needs three full turns to attach but this item could be turned only about three-fourth (less than one) turn to attach. There is a collar at the base of the screwing part probably for adjusting the screw length. Removing the collar exposes more screw length but it then becomes too long and does not allow the curtain for the viewfinder to open. The screw thread has a fine pitch and I thought three-fourth of one turn is too few for a robust connection and is likely to damage the screw thread during use. I could not find any way to try another piece of the same product. I therefore had to return it.The rubber eye cup is not circular. It turns during diopter adjustment, which is therefore odd. The diopter needs to be readjusted when the magnification is changed between 1X and 2X. ### ⭐⭐ No Thanks. *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 20, 2014* I received mine today. And it's going back tomorrow. The description left out a few minor details. First, you need to manually focus it. Not a major problem in itself. But the focus grip is large and easily moved out of position. If you'd like to switch from 1x to 2x. You need to refocus all over again. Not a minor correction either. It goes way out, requiring a delay that could easily be long enough to lose your shot. The last is actually rather minor. But I find the flexible hood over the eyepiece itself a bit too shallow. It seemed like my eye was always in danger of touching the glass. It may just be my personal prejudice. But I found it very annoying.On the positive side. The optics, other than noted above, are fine. The unit is well made.
