Review: Perfect for intended Use - It's perfect!!! I intend to use it mainly for appearance at the Renaissance Festivals I attend, but I didn't expect it to be so light weight, and it fits my outfit perfectly!
Review: 'Real' enough to be dangerous! - The weight is not bad at all, the hand guard has a really nice thickness to it. The blade is really shiny and the point is a little dangerous... Its not a toy at all. The quality is very nice, the size is short enough that its not cumbersome, the scabbard is decent enough. I painted my handguard a metallic gold and used a hairdryer to dry it fast between coats. I think it looks pretty amazing with the gold paint. I plan to zip tie it shut so my kids cant open it when Im not using it for promotional photos.

The weight is not bad at all, the hand guard has a really nice thickness to it. The blade is really shiny and the point is a little dangerous... Its not a toy at all. The quality is very nice, the size is short enough that its not cumbersome, the scabbard is decent enough. I painted my handguard a metallic gold and used a hairdryer to dry it fast between coats. I think it looks pretty amazing with the gold paint. I plan to zip tie it shut so my kids cant open it when Im not using it for promotional photos.

A sword that IS a sword. Mine is in perfect shape. Frankly was surprised by the grade and weight of the blade’s steel. The guard is metal (I think somebody referred to it as plastic etc?) and there is no looseness within the handle grip, the guard and the blade. The blade is solid stainless steel that should be able to be sharpened to a fine cutting edge. The scabbard that some have complained about has no issues. It is well made. I have a USN officer sword that doesn’t have the same good feel and is much more expensive.
