**Q: Is this a press fit on a 1/2 inch axle?**
A: No just a bushing to expand axel size to accommodate a wheel hub with a larger hub.

**Q: How long are they?**
A: They are about an inch and a half long.

**Q: I have 1/2" dia bolt with i think 5/8" raised flange i need longer.  would like to use this to make that flange longer. will this work? bike rack pin.**
A: I can't say for sure if it will work without knowing how long you are needing.

**Q: Are these bushings made of hardened steel?**
A: The title might have changed since the above answer but it says in the title 'hardened steel'.
