The longest/biggest brush is 13.5 inches and the shortest/smallest is 11 inches. I've not used brushes this big before, but I find that I really like them. The handles feel comfortable in my hand and they are made of a lovely stained wood, as best I can tell. Maybe not the best for a brand new painter, because you have to learn to "drive" them and they might be a leeettle unwieldy if you're just starting out, but I like them because I can paint tight, or pull my hand back and loosen my style easily.
