She is friendly but not handled a ton. She is 3 years old and was hatched in my house so she is very familiar with me and she doesn’t bite. I think this would be extremely difficult to get on a bird who bites when it doesn’t like something. As far as comfortability, it seems fine, my cockatiel hates it and hasn’t stopped picking at it but hasn’t done any damage and I’m sure in time she will adjust. Now for the most important part. She is fully feathered and she did spook and take off and this was perfect. The bounce back in the leash is very soft and allows you to reel your bird in while they fly without any jerking or abrupt movements at all. I was actually really impressed. I wouldn’t use this on any kind of large or medium parrots who did not have their wings clipped, not even small conures. The material is something that my African grey or cockatoo could easily be through within a couple minutes. If you were out and about even with a Senegal I feel they could eventually chew through this.
