Then it has to pried off all the way around. Several connectors have to be unhooked then you have the door panel free. You need a hot soldering iron to remove 4 standoffs that hold the handle on. Watch the youtube videos that explain it all. It's not hard at all. Once you melt those off, the handle comes off. Put the new one on, 4 new screws hold it in place. Re-assemble. **Q: I just put this on my 2015 428i coupe and there is about an inch gap in the back area. Is this normal? Also, it doesn't really fit snuggly.** A: If it is meant for your car then it should fit very snug with no gaps.
