Cracked! NOT RECOMMENDED! - ABSOLUTE CRAP! POOR ERGONOMICS!...Tiring to Use..Like turning a doorknob over & over & over again! Also had a crack in the plastic! It works by placing the cheese into a double-sided chamber where it's pushed against a metal grating disc (2 interchangeable disks; 1 in use & the other sits inside the knob/top) as you press down on the top knob piece and turn, the cheese shreds come out the bottom; the rotary barrel type graters work much better...this grater is awkward & requires considerable effort to obtain a small amount of grated cheese. I really wanted to like it but it is VERY TIRING on wrist to use it...NOT RECOMMENDED! Note: I purchased this used and it was delivered with a long hairline crack in the black plastic cap. This is the last time I purchase a used item, especially from the seller I used...shame on seller for selling damaged item & not describing. Review: Underwhelmed - The concept is very good but implementation is poor. I used this on Romano cheese and I simply did not have enough upper body strength to make this work well. I expected that this would be easier than using a grater for hard cheeses. I was wrong! After getting frustrated over the length of time it was taking I returned to grating it. It took far less time to grate a cup of cheese than the time I wasted using this to get 2-3 teaspoons. ## Features - 2 interchangeable grating discs for shavings and fine crumbs - Easy interchanging of grating discs - One grating disc can be stored in the lid - Food to be cut stored air-tight in lid. - Material is grated completely ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004P8J3FG | | Best Sellers Rank | #837,732 in Kitchen & Dining ( See Top 100 in Kitchen & Dining ) #2,409 in Graters | | Brand | GEFU | | Brand Name | GEFU | | Color | Silver/Black | | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 398 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04006664346801 | | Included Components | GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano | | Item Type Name | GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano | | Item Weight | 342 g | | Manufacturer | GEFU DDP | | Manufacturer Part Number | GEF-013 | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | GF24-34680 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Shape | Round | | Style | Modern | | Style Name | Modern | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GEFU - **Color:** Silver/Black - **Item Weight:** 342 g - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51m+Bqu8u3L.jpg) ![GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61WD2qyQJpL.jpg) ![GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61V3buY5-jL.jpg) ![GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61GuIEjCMjL.jpg) ![GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51DMKB4xc6L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ JUNK! ### ⭐ This grater was a complete waste of money *by E***K on February 13, 2017* This grater was a complete waste of money. It barely shreds parmesian cheese even when pushing down very hard while turning. In addition even though the unit has a lid for the bottom, you cannot store the cheese in the unit as the the top will not close all the way with cheese inside. Save your money and don't bother. ## Frequently Bought Together - GEFU 34680 Universal Cheese Grater, Parmigiano - Formaticum Reusable Cheese Storage Bags | Size 5" x 11" | Professional-Grade Cheese Strorage Bag | Store Cheese, Sandwiches, and Charcuterie | Kitchen Organization | Manufactured in Germany | 10 Bags - Parmigiano Italian Pottery Cheese Container - Glass Cheese Holder with Vacuum System --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/17608415-gefu-34680-universal-cheese-grater-parmigiano](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/17608415-gefu-34680-universal-cheese-grater-parmigiano) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
