Review: Great area lights for tons of applications - Fantastic area lights for my use which is a tad unconventional from what I'm assuming most folks are using these for in an RV or trailer. I put these in the rear hatch of my Jeep to provide area lighting outside at the rear when camping. My interior lights, while being very bright LEDs, just don't throw enough light outside at night. I was worried these wouldn't be bright enough, but they are just the perfect amount of light once its dark out and I'm extremely happy with the output. They work great for ambient lighting at the campsite and are great for fiddling with any gear I'm grabbing from the rear cargo area of my Jeep. They've already been a lifesaver when airing tires back up at night time as well as my compressor is mounted in the rear of my Jeep. I have no doubt these would work well as others have shown in reviews for the interior of an RV or trailer, but if you're looking for a nice area light for a different application like mine hoping this review will help you see how well they work for that. Unfortunately so far the one pic I thought to snap out at a camp site is one with my rock lights on as well as a projector running on my awning - but you can see where the light cut off is for the rock lights vs the Acegoo lights in the hatch as the color temp is different - this will give you an idea of the output outside at night.
Review: Love LED - We purchased these to replace the halogen lights in our 2005 Carver 444 MY. They are not a direct replacement but very close and wire in easily. Had to make the hole slightly larger to accommodate. Wish they had a spring clip to hold in place. Have used gorilla glue on a few to get them to fit well. They have plenty of light and are easy on the eyes even at night. Good to have less amp draw and updated lighting. They fit flush which is nice as the originals protruded about 1/4". Cleaner, nicer look.

**Q: What is the amp draw of these lights?**
A: These lights are regulated, which means the amperage drops as the voltage rises. This keeps the lights from dimming as the 12 volt battery discharges or goes from converter to battery power. I ran mine between 10 and 15.5 volts DC, I did not exceed 15.5 volts as most 12 volt DC charge systems don't exceed this voltage. The regulator falls out at 10 volts so anything below 10 volts will cause these lights to dim. At 10 volts DC the amperage was 280mA at 15.5 volts DC the amperage was 180mA.

**Q: When wiring multiple lights to the same switch/circuit, should they be wired in series, parallel or series/parallel?**
A: Those lights powered by DC12V and the lights need wired in parallel.

**Q: What size hole is required?**
A: 2.3" inches - 2.4" inches

**Q: do these work on 12 volt AC circuits?**
A: Actually, 12 volts AC IS a "thing" if you use a 120-12 VAC step-down transformer, but you'd have to feed the 12 VAC through a full wave bridge to rectify it into DC.
