Review: Five Stars - cool
Review: A great, fun Lego vehicle with lots of things to do - This is a really good one. Just enough pieces to make the build an interesting process - my enterprising 4.5-year-old built it all himself, with some help from me in interpreting the instructions - and a lot of fun little bits in the finished product. The resulting vehicle is sturdy and substantial, and has a lot of different things to do: - The front of the roof lifts off to allow the two firemen (both clearly men; Lego, this could have been an easy opportunity for a women or two neutral figures) to sit in their own seats inside. - The ladder lifts up, turns, and extends, and the firemen can hold the railing (which doesn't extend to the highest segment) or balance well by putting their feet into the rungs and leaning into it. - There's an enclosed compartment in the middle of the truck that holds a tool box with several tools, with the tools (wrench, saw, axe, etc.) also able to be clipped in various places on the outside of the truck. - There's a separate fire hydrant that can be connected to the truck with a "pumper hose" piece. - The main hose is a long-ish piece of braided cord with a nozzle on one end, that can be reeled up with a built-in reel on the side of the truck. There's a small "water spray" piece that can be affixed to the end of the hose, or to other pieces like the hydrant. - There's one oxygen mask/tank with visor that is pretty nifty, one of the nicer figure accessories I've seen. Having one for each figure would be nice, but this way everything that comes with the truck can fit in or on the truck. So, a successful set - lots of little things to play with and is a good lookalike for the fire trucks in our town. My son really likes it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: The kit you sent us had 2 of the #2 package and no #1 package. How can we get the first package of the kit?**
A: Hi,
I am not the seller who sold you this retired collectable kit.
Lego kit City Fire Truck 60002 has been discontinued or out of print from Lego since 2013 so you will have a hard time correcting what appears to be a Lego packaging error back in 2013 (it does happen once in a while). Your only option would be to see if the original seller can replace the kit or get approval to return it for a refund.

Regards,
Steve

**Q: What is the difference between this item and the other LEGO city ladder fire truck with 214 pieces?**
A: Hello! With the newer set 60107, there is a major design difference. It has an open design for a wider range of motion when operating the ladder. The hose position was changed as well, and the overall playability allows you to use the separate functions with more ease and room to move. The older set 60002 has more internal room and a storage hatch. I am sure you will find the design you prefer!

**Q: if I want to order and ship it to Ontario Canada will be free or there's charge?**
A: Sorry we don't ship out of USA

**Q: Our almost 5 year old boydidn't play much with legos before. He loves fire trucks. Will this be a good starting legos set?**
A: From my experience, both my toddler love LEGOs and they were eager to move to the smaller bricks -from those DUPLO-. I see there is a JUNIOR series that might be better for non-super-LEGO-fans-yet, to be honest: the overall complexity and quantity of pieces remains doable. If your 5 yr old loves fire truck, he will certainly love putting it together from scratch and all- Good luck ;)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Got it at 20% off but would have been worth the full price. Nice set for the young ones!
*by D***E on 6 March 2015*

Built it with my son (4y/o) last night. The expression on his face said it all. The firetruck is easy to build with clear instructions a reasonable amount of tiny pieces (essentials only) so the younger ones won't discourage in the building process. It has nice features like sitting places for both firemen, storage for additional equipment accessible from both sides of the truck, fully rotating and retractable ladder, hose reel, and can even be connected to the little fire hydrant. The only thing I despise from these newer lego sets it the use of stickers. The sets I owned when I was a kid had printed-on bricks instead. But overall, it looks very good and my son LOVES it!
