**Q: Will gloves keep my hands warm at 0 degrees Fahrenheit?  Are they wind proof?**
A: I've worn them down to 20F and they are functional, but my fingers do get cold. I'd estimate they are comfortable down to about 40F gloves. The insulation is not as heavy as ski gloves.

**Q: My boyfriend does land survey would he be able to use a hammer or close his fist easily?**
A: You can make a fist and I've used them for general cold weather yard work, but the gloves take away fine motor skills.  Gripping a hammer would likely not be a problem. Holding a nail might be slightly more difficult.

**Q: Do these have a membrane so moist vapor can escape from inside the glove?**
A: I used these gloves and my hands did not get wet.

**Q: Are they a good driving glove also**
A: No not good driving gloves

Carhartt is a trusted brand that has been around since 1889! That definitely says something about the quality of their merchandise! As expected when purchasing Carhartt items, these gloves are durable and well made. They can withstand cold temperatures by keeping hands warm and dry. I ordered these for my partner - whose current gloves were not keeping his hands warm in Midwest winter weather. They couldn't even withstand scraping the ice and snow off the car windshield! The first size I ordered had to be returned because they were a little snug. Therefore, if you are debating which size to order, I'd select the larger one. Bottom line, these gloves protect your hands from the elements. Again, because of the brand, I think the price is reasonable.
