Otherwise if all you do is change the filter and housing then, no. **Q: Does this affect riding leg position?** A: Yes and no. My leg rests up against it while I ride vs the stock one. But you don’t even notice it. Ordered this to replace a screamin eagle intake. At 5'8" the stock "football" cover really got in the way of my knee with forward controls, the k&n is still a little in the way but not nearly as bad. I immediately noticed a snappier throttle response and the ol butt dyno says it's got a little more power.Fitment on my 09 fxdb was flawless and installation was a breeze.
