My precious 9 yr old son didn’t make it and my 7 year old daughter was severely injured. We’ve had an agonizing last 2 years, I don’t even know how I have survived but here we are.A week before the 2 year anniversary she was finally given the all clear medically. I wanted to give her something to help her safeguard thoughts, feelings and most importantly memories. I’m barely functioning and don’t have the ability to help myself much less help her process all this trauma. That’s where this lovely book comes in.I let my princess know there’s NO rules for this. She can go at her own pace in any order she feels like, alone or together with me or anyone she chooses. But I am very thankful this book existed as she needed this so much. I dropped this off yesterday and I scanned through the pages with her and now I got an update that she is almost finished with this book and yes what she wrote is heart wrenching 💔😢😔 but finally she is able to express her feelings and be heard and comforted as she so much needed. This journal, however, gives us something tangible to do with our grieving kids.My son (8 years old) read through this in one sitting and then picked one of the activities to do. He's not completing the book in order, but that's more than OK.
