A plant killer. If I’m not mistaken, Dante created a special circle of hell for those unfortunates such as me. I have even tried naming plants to endow them with lovable personalities in the vain attempt to prioritize their well being. Alas, my most recent palms, poor Ezekiel and Clarence, have sadly expired due to my woeful neglect.But, then a godsend. Just as the Lady of the Lake endowed King Arthur with mighty Excalibur, so has Garden Couture given me this delightful plant. Honestly, it looks quite handsome in my flat and three weeks in, it looks good as new. Very happy indeed and cannot recommend highly enough. ### ⭐ JUST NO *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2020* I have been holding off leaving this review for quite a while. The reason why I've done that is because when I got this and put it together, I was so angry I felt if I left a review at that time, I would have been so much more negative than I'm going to be now. Don't get me wrong this is going to be no glowing review of this product. I feel that it is way overpriced poorly made and the “beautiful origami pot surround: we're supposed to get to wrap around our fake plant is quite honestly a piece of trash. I should have gone to the local craft store insert local craft store [insert name here] and purchased one there for the same price and gotten better quality. I watched the videos of how to put this together, so I didn't go into this blind I knew how to do it to make sure that it looked the right way. But I was concerned when I watched some people's review of how sparse the bottom fluff if you would like looked when they got theirs and I thought maybe that was just a fluke NOPE. Let's go back to the beginning when I got mine the box was mildly beat up but generally that's fault of the delivery and this was nicely wrapped so I gleefully unwrapped this. That ended when a part of it fell out and you'll see that by the pictures. In addition, the origami cover came dirty with a huge crease which made it look absolutely horrible when I tried to make the rest of the creases, so it looked just like the video. And like the other pictures Yep there was not enough Moss on the bottom of the plant. The fiddleleaf which is at the bottom of the plant you can barely see once you put the origami cover around which doesn't attach to anything it just is around the pot you said it inside. Oh and one thing about the origami cover make sure that you buy some sort of fastener to put it together because they don't supply anything so if you watch the video he shows certain kinds of fasteners you can use and I thought Oh cool they're going to send something to put it together no. They were kind enough to have the holes already there they just didn't give you anything to hold it together so be prepared if you're going to spend $165 2 put aside a little bit of money for fasteners, or you can use the good old standby duct tape and just make sure that that's the part that faces the wall so nobody can see it. All in all would I buy this again not in your life not in my life not in my children's lives would I recommend that anybody buy this no don't waste your money it is not worth it run far away run to your local craft store and buy one or make one that would be much cheaper and probably look a lot better. I can't believe I actually found it! I was very hesitant to order a large plant like this online, sight unseen. But after reading the positive reviews here and in inspecting the other reviewers' pictures in detail, I had a good feeling I'd be happy with this purchase. I was right! I'm so thrilled I bit the bullet and ordered this tree! It is fantastic!! It has high quality, thick leaves, it looks very realistic, and I'm even happy with the base. I know a lot of reviewers commented that the base is cheaply made and didn't work for them, but I didn't have that issue. Yes, in pictures online, it looks like a sharp high-end base, but it important to note, it is a 600GSM pressed board, in my mind, a really nice quality cardboard. As long as you follow Brendan's step-by-step videos carefully, you can make your plant pot skirt really look nice. I had a few creases come through as I started the build out, but it's barely noticeable in the final piece. I received several email notifications from Brendan after my purchase with step-by-step guidance on constructing the plant pot skirt, which I thought also was a really nice touch! Now that I know how much I love this plant, I'm going to be saving up to add a few more to other areas of my house in the near future!Update on Sept 3 Order #2:I ordered a second artificial palm tree from this seller. The exact same order. This time around, the box it was shipped in was severely damaged, there were dents in the pot itself, the pole inserts were scratched up, and the pressed board base had creases in it, so this base doesn't look as nice as the one from my first order. It's hard to believe I ordered the identical item, and the condition of this plant was so much worse than the first one. I wanted to sure buyers were aware that it's a flip of the coin whether you get a nice plant or one that's pretty beat up. In the end, the second order finished plant still looks pretty good overall.
