Review: Great Bag for Travel - Great "Mom" Bag. While traveling abroad for almost 4 weeks this bag was my "go to" for the day trips. Front pocket: this got decorated with traveling pins was able to pierce the fabric easily without permenantly puncturing the fabric. This pocket held the itenary for the day, left interior pocket cell phone (Iphone 11) for easy access to take pictures, and right interior pocket held a backup battery with charging cord. Possible improvement would be for a two way zipper on front pocket for easier access but is good in current form. Main Pocket: Interior zip- held thin wallet and keys. Big Main compartment: 32oz Hydroflask, Small umbrella (for sun), thin zip-up (in case of chill/sunblock), Large bottle of Sunblock, and snacks. Great for securing/storing all things neccesary for the family for the entire day but not to large to feel like you are carrying a beach bag everywhere. Love the light colored interior this made it easy to find all the necessary things while on the go. I did not use the card slots as I carried a travel wallet. Straps: Love the length. The long adjustable was long enough to carry messenger style for both my husband and I, both of us are around 5'11" ~225lbs. I was able to easily shorten it for a tight to the body fit or keep it loose for ease of taking on/off. Short loops are great and was easily able to slip it onto my shoulder during crowded areas. Side water pocket: held our 24oz hydroflask easily or the 0.5 liter (non-insulated) that we got in Istanbul after our hydroflask was stolen. We learned to use a carabiner clip to connect the water bottle to the bag... Nothing else was taken from the bag. We tried to stay very aware of the people around us but traveling though the busy market/riding the buses in Athens is where it got lifted, but that is the only thing they were able to take as everything else was clipped shut. One downfall: the durability of the mesh fabric did not meet the long term wear test. This is the only part of the bag that has shown the constant use. Color: GREAT love the dark grey color did not show dirt/dust/stains. We went to lots of areas with a high amount of dust (the ancient ruins of Greece/Italy) and it did not show it at all. Overall: love the size and features and will continue to use it as a day bag.
Review: Decent Travel Bag - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the Travelon Convertible Backpack/Tote Bag in black, size one, and after giving it a try, I opted to return it. While the bag has some notable features, such as its sleek design and convertible functionality, I found myself wishing for additional padding and support in the straps. Here's my detailed review: 1. **Sleek Design:** The black color and overall design of the bag are sleek and stylish. It's versatile enough to complement various outfits and occasions, making it suitable for both everyday use and travel. 2. **Convertible Functionality:** The ability to convert the bag from a tote to a backpack is a practical feature. It provides flexibility for different carrying preferences and situations. The transition between the two styles is relatively easy to execute. 3. **Ample Space:** The bag offers ample space for essentials, with well-organized interior compartments and pockets. It's a convenient size for those looking for a mid-sized bag that can accommodate daily items or travel necessities. 4. **Convertible Straps Concern:** The primary reason for returning the bag was the lack of padding and support in the straps. While the convertible design is a plus, the thin and unpadded straps made it less comfortable, especially when using it as a backpack. The absence of proper padding compromised the overall comfort during extended wear. 5. **Versatility:** The bag's versatility is commendable, serving well as both a tote and a backpack. However, the comfort level, particularly in backpack mode, was a significant factor in my decision to return it. I believe adding padded support to the straps would greatly improve its comfort and usability. 6. **Quality Construction:** The overall construction and material quality are satisfactory. The zippers and stitching appear durable, contributing to the bag's longevity. While the construction met expectations, the comfort aspect, especially in backpack mode, fell short. In summary, the Travelon Convertible Backpack/Tote Bag offers a sleek design, ample space, and convertible functionality. However, the lack of padding and support in the straps impacted the overall comfort, particularly in backpack mode. Adding this feature would likely enhance the bag's appeal and versatility. I give it four stars, acknowledging its positive aspects but deducting one star due to the comfort concerns.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the dimensions of the outside pocket and Large inside pocket? My tablet is 10 x 6 and hope to get it into one of these pockets.**
A: I originally answered via my sister, whom I bought the bag for. I just purchased it myself and the dimensions are roughly 11 x 9 inches. It fits my fire tablet easily which measures 4.5 x 7.5 inches. Hope this helps.

**Q: Just received my bag. How do I convert to backpack?**
A: The last picture for this item before the video shows how to use the the extra crossbody longer strap to convert to a backpack. You connect the long strap to a loop on the bottom and then loop the strap through the loop at the top. Then fasten the other end of the strap to the other bottom loop. Again reference the last picture on this add, before the video. This is how it should look when your done.

**Q: Is the "smoke" color bag closer to a true gray, or to a military green color?**
A: Hello,
Travelon here! Thank you for reaching out to us.
It's closer to gray color.

**Q: Is there a way to keep the strap from sliding around when used as a backpack?**
A: You can tuck the straps into the strap that holds it on to luggage and it keeps them out of the way.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bag!!!
*by A***C on June 5, 2026*

I’m a “bag lady” trying all sorts of bags for travel. This has worked extremely well for me. It is a great size and weight. I can shove in a sweater or lunch or use it for daily use with minimal inside. The backpack conversion is not ideal for all day carry but is very functional. It is a great “personal item” size for airlines since I can put my IPad and other essential flight items in it plus regular purse items. The pockets are well organized and all the safety features helpful. I took it to Argentina and came home declaring it was “perfect”.
