Review: This fan is EXACTLY what I wanted! - This fan is solid, quiet, and effective. I’m using it as a bedside fan, mounted above us and aimed at me, not my wife 😁. I didn’t want to have any of those garbage remote controls, and this pull chain is exactly what I wanted. This fan has two speeds, and I’ll admit that I’d like one even slower one, but I love the directionality of the airstream. This points well over me, without blowing much on my wife at all. The pull chain does come out the side, which is weird, but I’m certain it’s because the mounting bolts/holes are vertical and the chain switch mechanism wouldn’t fit in the spot from the bottom. I know this because I drilled a new hole and moved it to the bottom, but had to put it slightly off center. That’s fine with me and I like it with the pull chain on the bottom and slightly on my side of the bed (I also made a plastic plug for the old hole - owning a lathe is useful…). The ‘wood’ is, of course, molded plastic, but it’s sturdy, looks good, and is of great quality. It was easy to install, and I plan on wiring it in permanently. I didn’t want to mount it “upside down” so no one hits their head on it reading, but this is a really great fan.

Besides looking great it works just as advertised with a generous amount of articulation, and two speeds for the fan itself. The high speed does make a little sound, but the low speed is almost silent. Both speeds move the air just fine. I really like this fan, and will likely get another one for the kitchen.

This fan is solid, quiet, and effective. I’m using it as a bedside fan, mounted above us and aimed at me, not my wife 😁. I didn’t want to have any of those garbage remote controls, and this pull chain is exactly what I wanted. This fan has two speeds, and I’ll admit that I’d like one even slower one, but I love the directionality of the airstream. This points well over me, without blowing much on my wife at all. Took a chance on this one, and I love it. Put it in my bathroom on a cypress wall and it really gives it that fun feeling of a beach-town rental.
