Thank you..** A: The OD of the barrel is right at 20" and the total width is a little under 42". There is also two levels of racks when smoking and using only the firebox for heat but the second on is on the bottom of the main racks. I'm in the process of making a couple simple mods to move them above the main set of racks. If it fits your needs this thing is definitely a tank and very well built.
