Does the smell eventually go away?** A: Just about any hose will give off a smell / taste and some foam or bubbles when they are new.. Yes it should go away.. let it run before you use it the first few times you use it **Q: is this safe to use for a beverage dispenser?** A: I wouldn't recommend it. It's intended for irrigation/ponds/aquariums, not food related things and I don't think it has any certification that it's safe for food.
