I was looking for a more eco-friendly alternative for shaving my legs and armpits. While I was nervous to use this, it's really quite easy and I've never had a closer shave. I haven't used one of this type razor in probably 40 years. I got on the expensive razor path as a young man and never thought of moving back to this double edge style. I guess I thought this was old fashioned.Razors have been much in the news lately as you might have noticed. I wish the big guys luck. But they'll have to continue without me as a customer.These razors are fabulous. I mistakenly chose a model that didn't come with blades - my fault. I ordered Feather blades and they arrived a few days later. This gives a great and close shave with one or 2 passes. No pulls or cuts.I can't believe I stopped using this type of razor decades ago. I guess advertising is powerful thing. Unfortunately for the hapless company much in the news today this power cuts both ways. I wrote them asking what they recommended for a beginner using safety razors. They recommended I go with the Chieftain Jr. because it is mild and very forgiving for new DE users. They were not wrong. A great razor that provides me a great shave. They could have talked me into buying a much more expensive razor, but they were honest with me. They said start with the Jr. I appreciate their honesty and advice.
