Review: I don’t know how I survived without one! - I purchased the KitchenAid KQ908 Glass Surface 11 Pound Capacity Digital Kitchen and Food Scale to help with bulk meat splitting and also to help with baking. I’ve used it for so much more. This scale is so easy to operate!! It has an LCD screen that’s large enough I can even read it from a distance. The battery that’s in it now is the one that came with it and I use the scale multiple times a week so the battery life I’d say is very good. It’s a very durable scale even having a glass top. I’ve had it tip over (stands on its side when stored) and it still functions perfectly and no cosmetic damage either. You can quickly switch from grams to pounds to ounces, etc with the turn of the dial and a simple press and hold of the dial recalibrates the scale. I truly don’t know how I’ve survived 40+ yrs in the kitchen without a scale before now!! This thing is wonderful and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to step up their game in the kitchen!
Review: Great scale for cooking - Works great for cooking and divvying up meats for freezing. Not sure if it's accurate down to the 1/10th of a gram, but it works for how we use it. And we use it often

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this measure 2.4 grams**
A: yes, technically, as long as you use the small platform and your vessel you measure into isn't so heavy as to max out the small platform weight limit. Although my experience with this scale is that it was cheaply made and inconsistent in it's accuracy

**Q: I know this scale comes already calibrated, but can it be manually recalibrated in case it loses calibration?**
A: The smaller scale can be calibrated with a 500gram weight by holding down the lb/gram button until it reads “CAL”. I have not figured out a way to calibrate the larger scale unfortunately. There is no mention of this in the instructions.

**Q: Can it be changed in Grams and ml?**
A: The ml unit on a scale assumes the liquid being measured is water. 1 ml of water weighs 1 gram, so a ml measure is redundant.

**Q: Can you recalibrate the scale?**
A: I am not sure what you mean by "recalibrate." It will give you the weight in pounds or grams. You can put an empty vessel on it and then turn the scale on and it will zero out the weight of the vessel.
