Glass is quite heavy. Do you really think adhesive would hold it ? You have to screw it into the adjoining walls. They provide caps to go over each screw. **Q: Does the 34x34 come with a base? What is the dimension.** A: There is not a base included. **Q: Can you put pressure treated wood under the base instead of mortar? I have a concrete basement floor where it's being installed.** A: the purpose of the mortar is to fill the voids under the base and make it solid when you stand on it. treated plywood does not fill any voids in the base and does nothing your concrete floor would not already do. these bases have no substantial strength. they are flimsy, at best. they can be broken if something heavy is dropped on them. **Q: What are the dimensions of the base?** A: I received my Elegant shower enclosure on November 1. The U shaped wall channel allows for some adjustment for overall size and to compensate for an out plumb wall. The minimum dimension of my enclosure was 35-1/4 inches. The maximum was 36 inches, or perhaps a small fraction more. But I suspect that newer models of this enclosure allow more adjustment in size, as the website says the minimum dimension is now 34-1/2 inches. ## Frequently Bought Together - ELEGANT Corner Shower Door 36 in.
