Review: I Liked the First One I Got So Much I Bought Another For My Second Tank - I have 2 of these lights. The first one is an older version with a simple toggle type switch that gives me 3 options- Bright white light, off or blue light and the second one has an upgraded push button type control that gives me 4 levels of white light, off and blue light. I had the older version with the toggle switch control (30-36 inch) on my desertcart Wish List for my 36 Gallon Bow Front tank and received it as a gift for Christmas 2020 from my husband. I really like this light. The light is the right size for my tank but the metal stands on the ends do slip off of the sides of the cover of my aquarium. I ended up securing them with small strips of duct tape so it isn't an issue for me. Next time I might go a size smaller to see if the actual light part is still the right size but honestly, it wasn't enough of a bother to return it for a smaller size. My plants seem to be doing well with it. I had a little extra algae growth with it which I think is due to the light being a bit too bright for my tank so I decreased the number of hours I keep it turned on. I have a dimmer on order that should be coming in soon so hopefully that'll help bring the brightness down. Since a dimmer can be added, I don't think the brightness or inability for adjust the brightness on the control takes away from the light bar overall, especially at it's price point. I liked the first light bar I got so much that when the light bar on my 10 gallon planted guppy tank finally broke, I replaced it with another NICREW Classic LED Plus Planted Aquarium Light (18-24 inches). This light bar fits perfectly on the cover of my 10 gallon aquarium and does not overhang off of the sides of the cover. This light bar is different from my other one which I assume is because it's an newer version. It certainly seems improved. The control on this one is adjustable which is nice so instead of only 1 option for white light on the old one, I have a choice of different levels of the white light. It was easy to use after reading the clear instructions in the booklet that comes with it. The first setting of white light is pretty bright so I set it to the lowest setting (if memory serves, I believe there's 4 setting for white light). It's still pretty new to me so I haven't quite figured out the correct brightness yet. So far my plants and my guppies seem happy so that's good. I actually prefer the warmth of color of the white on the first setting so I've also ordered a dimmer for this light too. The lowest white light setting adds more of a blue tint to the light that I'm not as fond of. Overall, I like both of the NICREW Classic LED Plus Planted Aquarium Lights and would purchase them again.
Review: A reliable bright light that's able to withstand my mild abuse. - This light has worked well for my 40 gallon low tech, planted tank. The first one that I purchased has lasted over a year so far and still works like new. I liked it so much I bought a second for my new 40 gallon. They have survived incidental splashing no problem at all. It's not difficult to clean off mineral build up on the bottom, and my plants are doing well. I enjoy having the sunset sunrise options, and being able to turn the light on and off real quick without losing my scheduled settings. If you manually turn it on with the power button, just press the gear button and it will resume the schedule. My only mild complaint is having to reset the clock if the power flickers, but this is not a deal breaker for me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I Liked the First One I Got So Much I Bought Another For My Second Tank

I have 2 of these lights. The first one is an older version with a simple toggle type switch that gives me 3 options- Bright white light, off or blue light and the second one has an upgraded push button type control that gives me 4 levels of white light, off and blue light. I had the older version with the toggle switch control (30-36 inch) on my Amazon Wish List for my 36 Gallon Bow Front tank and received it as a gift for Christmas 2020 from my husband. I really like this light. The light is the right size for my tank but the metal stands on the ends do slip off of the sides of the cover of my aquarium. I ended up securing them with small strips of duct tape so it isn't an issue for me. Next time I might go a size smaller to see if the actual light part is still the right size but honestly, it wasn't enough of a bother to return it for a smaller size. My plants seem to be doing well with it. I had a little extra algae growth with it which I think is due to the light being a bit too bright for my tank so I decreased the number of hours I keep it turned on. I have a dimmer on order that should be coming in soon so hopefully that'll help bring the brightness down. Since a dimmer can be added, I don't think the brightness or inability for adjust the brightness on the control takes away from the light bar overall, especially at it's price point. The timer was confusing at first but after watching a YouTube video it made more sense. Way better of an upgrade compared to the light that the aquarium package I bought came with. Plants looks very healthy. You might want to consider turning the total brightness intensity down because it can be strong for some plants. Sunrise/sunset feature is awesome and makes for a more natural scape for both the fish and me. 10/10 would buy again
