You cannot take pictures of subjects that are relatively close to you because the zoom is to great .... You need to be back like 25 feet in order to take a normal picture you can take with your 18-55 lens. I missed a lot of pictures because of that. To see what I mean, take your current lens and zoom it all the way in and see how things and subjects are framed that are close to you.
