After another week, I could smell it in the hallway and several other rooms as well. I have had problems with the actual Blueair replacement filters having an off-smell on occasion, but this was overpowering. The instructions say that you may notice a smell for a short time after installing them, but after several months the smell only got worse. I have a Blueair Classic 605 purifier and the smoke stop replacement filters I ordered from Amazon do not let any air through. That's got to be bad for the motor so I've stopped using them.
