But there are a lot of buts...This is bare minimal 10 yr old plus. Even low teens, would need an adult to work with. This isn’t a plus or negative. I am just stating a fact.The unit is not fault proof and you have to trouble shoot things. In my experience, this is a negative. I wish the air part was more fault proof and worked well however which way it is built. Maybe have that part pre-assembled since it’s basically the entire heart of the car. They want to build it and see it run, and when it doesn’t, it’s already a hours long process. And having to trouble shoot things is not great.3, this isn’t a 10-20 minute build. It’s involved and again, must be at least bare minimum 10 year old.A little bit more of the o ring and super small part extra pieces. The plastic ones are pretty hard to break but the small o rings and rubber parts, it can’t costs more than a few cents to include extras.In the end, I do like this kit. Anything that leads to less screen time is a definitive PLUS. I just wished it was easier to put together and that it worked well the first time assembling it. ### ⭐ Nit picky tiny parts that break if you sneeze *by B***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2021* I gave this to my young grand son. 3 adults, with me being the most technical and mechanically experienced - Holy Smokes! We were ALL frustrated trying to put this together. The diverting valves are super tiny. There was a microscopic flaw in the casting of the piston/valve sleeve. So it would not pump up. Then a fragile push rod got broke by the older brother. This product, I just bet, gets successfuly completed by a very, very small fraction of customers. As a test of whether or not you will like this kit - if you are the type of person who likes putting together a 1000 piece ultra tiny jigsaw puzzle using tweezers and a magnifying glass to accomplish the task. This toy is for you. Because you need the patience of a Roman Saint to get-er-done. Oh. And don't break too many parts, or find too many flaws. The company limits how many parts they will replace for free. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works but you need to be careful and have the right tools *by A***G on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2022* IMPORTANT Tools you absolutely need: 1. a long thin screw driver for the small Phillips head screws. 2. a hammer and a solid surface. 3. scissors 4. strong fingers and short nails.This toy is rated 10+ but realistically this is more of a 14+ build.That said, the instructions are good, the toy works as described and is rather ingenious the way it is designed including ability to pump, monitor pressure, and convert linear to rotational motion.I am a 40 year old software engineer and my 8 year old was able to help a little but lost interest a few times as I struggled to assemble a few of the mechanisms.
