I wear skirts with colored stockings most of the time and I prefer brown because it goes with my wardrobe (I have warm coloring - but I'm never warm!!). It's very difficult to find brown stockings in the first place, let alone warm and comfortable ones. These are super-soft, and the waistband is gentle, unlike another well-known brand that is very good but is tight around the waist. I am about 5' 5", about 138 pounds, and the large-extra large allows plenty of stretch in the leg and comfort around the waist-band. I waited a few months to write a review to make sure they would last, but I have worn them many times and washed them several times and they are still in great shape, so I came back to order two more pairs!
