Just plugged them in, stuck in 32gig micro sd cards, and they turn on every time the car is on. Very easy setup and it's just a matter of removing the sd card and copying it on my laptop, if I ever want to review a video. I found the controls and the tiny screen very cumbersome for any kind of viewing, but I wasn't expecting much from a $30 cam. The video quality is great for what it's supposed to do, just don't expect a cinematic experience. I suggest that you take the sd card out after first use, and check the videos just to make sure the cam is working properly. 32gig card seems to save about an hour and a half of video.Now that I've had this dash cam for about a month, that little red flashing thing on the upper corner of the screen, showing the cam is recording, feels very reassuring. I don't think I can drive around without one any more.Also, if you ever get into an argument in the running car with your significant other, you better make sure you remember what you said accurately before offering an audio forensics, because this thing could backfire on you. The extra degrees makes for a better view of the side of road.Night vision I am not giving 5 star as I have not looked at any video from then.Second thing is the mounting system. I like the suction cup with camera hanging down vs one that just mounts to windshield without suction cup. The latter kept falling down when the sun has beating down in parked car from heat. Also the camera adjustment did not go low enough for the slant of my windshield on my 2015 impala so it was pointing to high.
