The remote wireless speaker sits on my husbands end table & he controls his comfortable volumn. The TV is not affected by the individual remote speaker volume. The headsets make it possible to listen to a late night show without anyone else hearing it. This product would be wonderful for couples working different shifts . With the headsets, the TV can be on mute and the sound can come thru the headset.
