We had to find an alternative supplier. I don't know if it is rated for welding gas use. **Q: Is this DOT certified?** A: Yes. but if your intention is to go to a gas exchange facility then save your money and buy one from them. I was disappointed for not knowing before hand that when I bring mine to be filled with dry nitrogen that my nice new bottle will taken in exchange for a filled crappy bottle of theirs. **Q: Can this be used for MIG welding?** A: Yes.
