Does it give you that crunchy sound without mods and is it loud enough to gig ?with** A: I’ve never used it for a harp (I assume you’re talking about a harmonica). I’ve only used it for the purpose it was intended: electric guitar. It’s the best medium-sized amp I’ve ever used. Is it loud enough for gigs? YES! It’s so loud that I’ve never turned on the Max volume. The overdrive is perfect! The reverb I’d perfect! You can use this amp for any club or bar! And I like it. It's not super loud, but I knew that going in and I bought it for rehearsal and recording. It's pretty light which is a plus and it definitely has great tube sound because it's a well designed tube amp. Unlike some amps I have and I have too many, I am not tempted to change either the tubes or the speaker. The tubes are Ruby branded, Chinese made. If they burned out, I might try other things but probably would replace with the same tubes. I did try some other speakers in separate cabinets but didn't feel compelled to swap the custom Eminence made speaker out. One bonus is I really like the quality of the effects loop. This may be because the owners of the new Supro cut their teeth on making pedals. It is very clean and good sounding pedals sound great. Don't expect it to make your crappy, noisy pedals sound any better. This amp is definitely a keeper for me and like I said, I have too many amps. I threw away the packaging and of course it started crackling all the time. It's on warranty but Supro doesn't have dealers, apparently. They said it's a power tube and we'll send you one. I guess, I have to find someone to install it. Unbelievably poor customer service.
