It has enough space for one chalk ball sock, if you like using those types of things, and I like that there's another smaller pouch on the outside above the panda for bandaids or something like that. My hands are not particularly large and I find that they are able to slip into the pouch one at a time with just enough room to squeeze the chalk sock and maybe pick up a little bit of chalk settled at the bottom of the pouch, so if you have very big hands I would consider buying a larger chalk bag. Also for those who like to go on very long climbs that last hours and hours, the bag does not have a very big capacity to hold chalk. I would worry about running out maybe of chalk using only dry chalk in this bag. The diaphragm opening works great for keeping chalk in the bag when traveling or not in use, which is a plus. This is an excellent bag that my 7 year old son uses. It doesn't get in the way, perfect size for small to medium hands, closes easily, made with a thick but soft fabric with a sturdy opening that doesn't collapse. The pocket is just the right size for a small wallet or some IDs. The strap comes on and off easily.
