**Q: would this 18" fan  be adequate for 12' X 20'  (10' ceiling) very hot wood uninsulated  shed ?**
A: The 18 inch fan is pretty powerful and should be sufficient to exhaust the hot air.

**Q: Does it work with ilg8sfst controller ?**
A: iLiving shutter fan with Variable speed is compatible with ILG8SFST & ILG8SFRC controller

**Q: can the louvers stay open?**
A: They open when the fan is on. And close when the fan turns off. Small amount of airflow opens them. You could probably prop them open with something if you wanted them open no matter what.

**Q: Is it good for a woodshop? Remove dust?**
A: Think of this unit as being designed to reduce heat in an attic not for cooling the attic. I use it in a 24’x28’ shop area I am using as a paint booth for my car. It by itself is not adequate to vacate the fumes from my shop so I would question its effectiveness to pull “dust” out of a small wood workshop. If definitely pulls air so you could start with one and go from there.

Well built fan with effortless thermostat works great. Installed in 30x50 metal building along with added vents to the building and a floor fan on a timer to move the hot Florida heat. Worked all south Florida summer with no issues.
