Patterns are drafted digitally, but accessories are created exclusively by hand. Treating leather goods as unique, precious pieces also means that their components should be unique. Our gold and platinum are: Ostrich, Crocodile, and Alligator. Our Steel: the most advanced cow leather, Goat, and Buffalo. The specific waxes applied on our precious skins during the production process makes them ready for everyday life; and ensures that they will get in time a rich patina, instead of just getting older...To ensure longevity only leather is used in the composition of our items. Paper, cardboard, fabric or synthetic-leather materials have no place in our production process simply because their aging cycle is not the same as for leathers. Only where they are technically necessary are some composite materials used for specific items. This uncompromising approach requires a rigorous leather selection process. All Maison Takuya models are produced with leathers of the most durable quality. We use natural cowhide even for hidden structural parts. The cowhide skins selected by Maison Takuya come from the very best cowhide tannery in Germany. We select the finest hides, showing a very refined grain that comes directly from the animal skin structure. Unlike most skins on the market these hides are not printed. It is through a process, which literally shrinks the skins that the natural grain is obtained.
