I have seen video using it both ways. How does that work?** A: If you are leaning over (so that your head is upside down), have the clip in the frown position. If you are upright, have the clip in the smile position. Either way should give you a "smile" cut or v-cut when viewed from behind. **Q: How do u cut the back of your hair by yourself?** A: I do it by feel and use the clip as a linear guide. I also use a mirror but it is hard to get used to the mirror image and where to cut. The mirror works better for checking after the cut to see if you want to cut more. Longer hair can be pulled to the front and cut in front. I always cut less and adjust later. You can't put it back once it is cut. **Q: I want to hair a one length Bob cut(I have long hair), will it work ?** A: Yes, a bob cut is doable. You may see the DVD or search on youtube for some tutorials. I think for bob cut, another person is needed to cut your hair. I like the idea of not having to run around to get my haircut and this seems to be a good alternative. I gave it only 4 stars as I haven't quite got the hang of it. I think it would work better on long hair, mine is short. I have used it once, but I definitely need practice.
